Many would argue that in this post modern society, there is a perversion of "sacred" music, that which is set apart for the worship of God. Consequently, it is refreshing to see a singer of the caliber of Derrick Hall, an immensely talented man who has resolved in his mind to restore purity to the ministry of music. 

A talented, versatile tenor he captures his audience with his dynamic presentations ranging from the richness of traditional hymns to depth of contemporary worship songs. His concerts offer multi-media presentations of nature, the cross and much MORE... which lifts the concert to a whole new level of audio and visual.

Derrick was born in Manchester, England, but spent his formative years in the Jamaica, West Indies, where he began singing at the tender age of seven. He migrated to New York where he continued his studies at Wingate High School in Brooklyn. There he was awarded Wingates's Best Vocalist of the year, 1980-81.

Derrick attended the Julliard School of the Performing Arts in New York where he developed his repertoire excelling as a vocalist. His talents came to the fore when he won the audition for the popular television musical, "Fame," in the 1980's.

However, due to his unflinching fidelity to the Lord, he decided to forego the opportunity to become a secular star. Derrick has traveled widely, partnering with some of music's most illustrious singers, as well as singing for dignitaries. He has also appeared on TBN, 3ABN, 3ABN Live, HOPE Channel and other local Christian stations.

In 1997 Derrick Hall developed a ministry focused on evangelism where he could combine his music ministry and his gift of speaking ; Begin Again Living Ministries (BALM). As Speaker/Director of BALM he has had the privilege of traveling throughout the United States, Central America, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean Islands to preach, teach and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Derrick has had the privilege of training with some of Adventist church’s premier evangelists - Ron Halvorsen, Brian McMahon, Mark Finley and Doug Batchelor. He is also a graduate of Amazing Facts College of Evangelism (AFCOE). Derrick is especially interested in coupling public evangelism with The Witnessing Church Program for churches, which he believes is the most effective strategy for church growth.

Derrick Hall goals is to continue to sing and evangelize the gospel of Jesus Christ through music. His favorite scripture is Romans 10:15 "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace."
